Waste Research Limited joins KES
The AHK Group competed an acquisition of Waste Research Limited earlier this week on 29th January 2019. The acquisition is part of Knight Energy Services diversifying into alternative fuel materials, in addition to specialising in inspection and analysis for the coal, coke and biomass industries.
Based in Rotherham, Yorkshire, Waste Research is an independent, family owned business run by David, Carl and Clare Wilson. They provide a range of analytical and consultancy services primarily to the RDF and SRF waste management industry.
Colleagues from the Rotherham office joined KES at Head Office on Thursday 25th April for an introduction to the AHK Group, and a tour of the facilities. The new colleagues were taken on a tour of the John Knight Laboratory and given an induction on Alfred H Knight, Knight Energy Services and the services that the company provides. They also had the opportunity to ask questions about future plans and objectives following the acquisition.
Overall, the visit was a positive step in relationship-building and welcoming our new colleagues on board, with plans to further integrate WRL into the Group during this year.
David Kerrigan commented, “the acquisition of Waste Research is a strong and exciting opportunity for KES and AHK to develop their presence in a growing market. We very much look forward to developing the business and building upon the strong foundations established by David, Carl and Clare. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the Waste Research team to AHK.”
